Hitting the Wall

Nothing. Nada. Zilch.
Thats what I lost this week.
OK, IF you round up, I lost 1 pound.

This is where I usually hit the wall and quit. It took all I had to do my thing today. I made myself go to kickboxing tonight because I decided if I dont, the only one who loses out is me.
This week is going to be crucial and I will need lots of prayer to win this battle.

  1. Don't give up now, child, you've come to far and jumped over way too many walls to let it get you down. Remember that strength and endurance??? Focus on that. Being healthy is what counts, not the scale or the tape measure, and you've made definite progress in that direction!

  2. Hey Joy - Have enjoyed catching up and looking forward to following your journey.
I agree whole heartly with your friend Sandi - you've come far and have even in a short period of time jumped many walls. When discouraged revisit the tasks, challenges and stumbling blocks that the Lord and you have overcome. They may seem insignificant at the time, but when added to all the others it just may make a pretty big snowball (even in AZ).

  3. Hey Joy!
Don't give up! You are a testimony to all the ways that God cares about us. He has given you such a great opportunity. Don't let the enemy win. We will be praying even more for you this week. You endurance is improving and your blood pressure seems stable and you don't have to take so much medicine. That's a great improvement all by itself. I'm hugging you even though I'm not there, but God is and He's hugging you too! Have a great day!

  4. Joy - In Psalm 18: 1-3 David say's this:

I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the Lord who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.

Focus one day at at time - resting in the strength & protection of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. When you feel you can't go on cry out to Him - He is there with you; He is walking, running, swimming, kickboxing.... with you.

Remember Apollo 13 "failure is not an option." You have the strength, the drive, the will, the motivation; you also have the prayers of all your friends. One step at a time; one day at a time and you will find yourself where you want to be in the end.

    STAY STRONG !!!

    Mark
